MUSIC AND GOODLUCK - REPLICA
Original - reference

(Music and Good Luck 1888) - William Harnett

William Harnett was a United States still life painter who lived in the 19th century. He was born August 10, 1848 in Clonakilty, Ireland. He died on October 29, 1892 in New York City. The picture I modeled, "Music and Good Luck" from 1888 shows the violin hanging upright on a door with ornate hinges and with a slightly torn piece of sheet music behind it.
Harnett practiced Trompe-l’oeil, which is an art technique involving extremely realistic imagery in order to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects really exist, instead of being just two-dimensional paintings.
